1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Paw ID ("Service," "App," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Paw ID is a pet health management application that helps pet owners track vaccinations, medications, weight, veterinary appointments, and other pet-related information. The Service includes:

• Pet health record management
• Vaccination and medication tracking
• Weight monitoring and health insights
• QR pet identification cards
• Photo gallery storage
• Cloud synchronization (premium feature)
• Smart reminders and notifications

3. Waitlist and Pre-Launch

The App is currently in pre-launch phase. By joining our waitlist:

• You will receive notifications when the app becomes available
• You may be invited to participate in beta testing
• Early access benefits may be provided to waitlist members
• We reserve the right to limit the number of waitlist participants

4. User Accounts

When the App launches, you will need to create an account to use certain features. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our privacy practices.

6. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Paw ID is a pet health tracking tool and is NOT a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Always seek the advice of your veterinarian with questions regarding your pet's health
• Never disregard professional veterinary advice or delay seeking it because of information from our App
• We do not provide veterinary services or medical advice
• The App is for informational and organizational purposes only

7. QR Pet ID Cards

Our QR pet identification feature is designed to help reunite lost pets with their owners. However:

• We cannot guarantee that a lost pet will be found or returned
• The effectiveness depends on someone scanning the QR code
• You are responsible for keeping your contact information up-to-date
• We are not liable for any issues arising from the use or misuse of QR codes

8. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including:

• Pet photos and images
• Health records and notes
• Personal information

By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process this content solely to provide the Service to you.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Reproduce, duplicate, or copy any part of the Service without permission
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service

10. Subscription and Payments

Paw ID offers both free and premium subscription options:

• Free Plan: Basic features including limited pet profiles and local storage
• Premium Plan: Unlimited pets, cloud sync, priority support, and advanced features

Subscription terms:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
• Pricing will be displayed before purchase
• Payment is processed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You can cancel anytime through your App Store account settings
• Refunds are handled according to App Store/Google Play policies

11. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for premium features:

• Trial duration will be clearly stated at sign-up
• You will not be charged during the trial period
• Cancel before trial ends to avoid charges
• After trial, subscription automatically begins unless cancelled
• One free trial per user

12. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
• Change features, functionality, or pricing
• Update these Terms of Service

We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your account shows suspicious or fraudulent activity
• We are required to do so by law

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

14. Data Backup and Loss

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data:

• We are not responsible for data loss due to technical issues
• Premium users have cloud backup enabled
• Free users should maintain their own backups of important information
• We recommend exporting critical health records regularly

15. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g., cloud storage, payment processors). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

16. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Paw ID are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content
• Use our trademarks without permission
• Reverse engineer the app

17. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We provide the Service "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for any harm to your pet resulting from use of the App

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

19. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Mexico. For international users accessing the app through Google Play Store, local consumer protection laws may also apply where applicable.

20. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through:

• Good faith negotiations first
• Mediation if negotiations fail
• Binding arbitration as a last resort (details to be specified at launch)

21. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Posting the new Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email notification (if you've provided your email)

Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

23. Severability
